Construction Estimator

The estimator prepares project cost estimates and proposals, coordinates vendor and subcontractor pricing, and tracks costs and scope changes. This work supports project profitability and helps ensure residential projects are delivered on time and within budget.

What you'll do

• Review project scope with Sales
• analyze plans, specifications, and customer selections
• prepare material takeoffs using PlanSwift
• obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• verify and prepare estimates and proposals
• revise estimates as scope changes
• monitor project costs and compare selections and material costs with budgets
• prepare change-order pricing
• maintain pricing databases and estimating tools
• and recommend process improvements.
