What you'll do

• Teach a curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences, preparing students for AP and collegiate coursework.
• Develop students' practices in questioning, modeling, constructing explanations, data analysis, argumentation, and conducting labs.
• Create an environment for confident scientific discourse.
• Facilitate student-led discourse using evidence to make claims and critique arguments.
• Facilitate student-led inquiry and lab/project-based performance tasks.
• Work with the Science department to determine academic and engagement goals.
• Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work.
• Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction.
• Build positive relationships with students and partner with families.
• Engage in professional development and coaching.
• Participate in school-wide meetings.

Bachelor's degree.

Experience

1-2 years experience preferred.
