What you'll do
- Teach a curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences, preparing students for AP and collegiate coursework.
- Develop students' practices in questioning, modeling, constructing explanations, data analysis, argumentation, and conducting labs.
- Create an environment for confident scientific discourse.
- Facilitate student-led discourse using evidence to make claims and critique arguments.
- Facilitate student-led inquiry and lab/project-based performance tasks.
- Work with the Science department to determine academic and engagement goals.
- Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work.
- Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction.
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families.
- Engage in professional development and coaching.
- Participate in school-wide meetings.
