Project-Based Field Archaeologist

The Project-Based Field Archaeologist position is field-based, with projects in the Midwest and Southeast United States and potential assignments in other states. Compensation is $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience and education. The role supports R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates’ ongoing and upcoming projects. The role exists to carry out archaeological fieldwork and document project activities in coordination with project management, operations personnel, and other field archaeologists.

What you'll do

• Work with project management and operations personnel to execute fieldwork within project areas and document field efforts
• coordinate and communicate with other field archaeologists
• perform archaeological survey and excavation.
