What you'll do

• Provides physical therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care.
• Advises, consults, and teaches appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and other agency staff.
• Assists the provider in evaluating the level of function and participates in the development of the plan of care.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes and translates all exercises into functional activities or activities of daily living.
• Develops plans for modifying equipment, appliances, and the physical surroundings in clients' homes.
• Confers regularly with the attending provider regarding client's progress and reports physical and emotional conditions and reactions to treatment.
• Supervises physical therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations.
• Maintains accurate clinical records.
