The role also helps deliver and install pumps, troubleshoots at customer sites, and may assist with training lower-level mechanics.

What you'll do

• Inspect pumps independently
• diagnose and repair pump ends, priming systems, electrical systems, starters, alternators, wiring harnesses, and trailer issues
• troubleshoot centrifugal pump priming and performance
• understand pump curves and pipe fittings
• assemble pipe and hose safely
• position suction and discharge equipment and apply safety measures
• load, secure, deliver, unload, and install pumps
• test pumps using gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods
• travel to customer sites for troubleshooting or repairs
• complete required documentation
• participate in the on-call rotation as needed
• assist in training lower-level mechanics as needed.

Why this role

Requires 2–3 years of mechanic experience and 1–2 years of trade school or equivalent training maintaining industrial, mud, vacuum, or submersible pumps, or an equivalent combination. High school diploma or GED and a driver's license required; forklift certification preferred. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and on-call rotation as needed.
