The Seasonal Lawncare and Landscape Maintenance Worker role is onsite in Hutchinson, KS, with pay of $10–$15 per hour. The City of Hutchinson’s Horticulture & Forestry Maintenance Team works to maintain community spaces and support a livable, attractive, and safe city. The worker maintains lawns, landscape beds, trees, and other grounds using hand tools and powered equipment. The role supports city parks and public areas through routine horticultural work, light equipment and grounds maintenance, and litter removal.

What you'll do

• Mow, trim, and edge city parks, ditches, rights of way, and overpasses
• perform minor equipment maintenance
• plant and care for flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees
• prepare soil
• weed, prune, transplant, and thin plants
• assist with fertilizer and pesticide application
• water and prune trees
• operate gardening tools and equipment safely
• clean and maintain tools, equipment, buildings, and grounds
• pick up and dispose of trash.

Why this role
