The Maintenance Technician III — Industrial Electrical Focus role is onsite in Staunton, VA, paying $29–$38 per hour. The technician supports Cadence’s medical device manufacturing facility and its production infrastructure. The role maintains and improves facility systems and manufacturing support equipment to help sustain uptime, operational efficiency and a safe work environment. It diagnoses electrical and mechanical issues, performs preventive maintenance and supports equipment upgrades and installations.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery and facility equipment
• diagnose faults using schematics and test equipment
• maintain motors, controls, starters, relays, VFDs, panels and distribution systems
• support PLC and automation troubleshooting
• maintain wiring, conduit, lighting and power systems
• perform preventive maintenance and document work
• maintain HVAC, plumbing, compressed air and utility systems
• assist with equipment installation and commissioning
• perform general facility and grounds maintenance
• follow safety, lockout/tagout and environmental procedures.

Why this role

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00–11:00 p.m., with a 7% shift differential; 40 hours per week and possible overtime. Four or more years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing is required. Electrician licensure or certification, technical education and apprenticeship experience are preferred.
