The Medical Assistant I — Regional Medical Center role is an onsite, full-time position in Fresno, CA, paying $25–$28.50 per hour. The medical assistant floats between front-office and back-office clinical operations to address staffing needs. The role supports daily health center operations, patient access, scheduling, check-in and check-out, and quality requirements while helping resolve patient issues and maintain standard work procedures.

What you'll do

• Support receptionist and medical assistant duties
• follow standard work procedures and troubleshoot problems
• resolve patient issues
• monitor patient schedules to maximize access and reduce errors and delays
• monitor check-in and check-out functions, including collections and deposits
• support compliance with TJC, HRSA, PCMH, HEDIS, UDS, CHDP, and quality improvement requirements
• float between assigned clinics as directed.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED, accredited Medical Assistant program, current American Heart Association BLS card, California driver’s license, and valid auto insurance required. Minimum two years of outpatient medical office experience preferred. May float to another clinic to address staffing shortages.
