Ready-Mix Batch Plant Operator

Job overview

The Ready-Mix Batch Plant Operator role is in person in Midland, TX, at $25 per hour. GCC produces, distributes, and markets cement, ready-mixed concrete, aggregates, and related construction products. The operator controls concrete production using batching software and verifies that ingredients and admixtures meet specifications. Plant inspections, maintenance, and coordination with dispatch, drivers, customers, and quality personnel help meet production and customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Produce ready-mix concrete according to required specifications
• open, start up, and shut down the plant
• coordinate with dispatchers, haulers, drivers, customers, operations, production, and quality-control personnel
• inspect the plant daily
• manage site maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
• operate the computer batching system.
