Residential Counselor – Overnight Shift

The Residential Counselor – Overnight Shift role is onsite in Asheville, NC, with compensation of $19–$20 per hour. Eliada is a nonprofit supporting children and young adults through foster care, residential treatment, housing support, and vocational training. The counselor supervises and supports youth overnight in a residential treatment setting, following individualized treatment plans and maintaining a stable environment. The role contributes to student safety, personal growth, and continuity of care through monitoring, guidance, documentation, and communication with the care team.

What you'll do

• Supervise and monitor students overnight
• follow individualized treatment plans
• use the agency’s crisis intervention model, including safe physical restraint techniques only if necessary
• conduct safety checks
• assist with meals, laundry, and bedtime routines
• complete shift planning and debriefings
• maintain program documentation
• communicate with guardians and staff
• build supportive relationships
• engage students in structured processing sessions
• and transport students between program locations as needed using a company vehicle.
