Job overview

The CNC Mill Setup Machinist works onsite in Saint Johnsbury, VT, for $18–$30 per hour. The role supports the Production Department in an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This position sets up and operates CNC milling centers, verifies first articles and in-process quality, and helps produce conforming parts to engineering specifications. It also supports setup training and coordination with engineering, programming, and quality teams.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate horizontal, vertical, and 5-axis CNC milling centers
• select and install tooling and fixtures
• load and edit G-code
• establish offsets
• inspect first pieces and production parts
• maintain quality and traceability records
• monitor machine operation and tool life
• perform operator-level preventive maintenance
• support and train other machinists.
