The Network Specialist, Subject Matter Expert role is onsite at Scott Air Force Base, IL. Compensation is $80,000–$93,000 per year. The position provides network operations support for a Cayuse Holdings client and reports to a Program Manager. The specialist designs, implements, and manages network infrastructure to support performance, reliability, and security across LAN, MAN, and WAN systems. The role also provides technical leadership, incident response, operational oversight, and security assurance for large-scale network environments.

What you'll do

• Provide technical guidance for network design, implementation, and operations
• develop scalable system designs and configurations
• conduct capacity planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons
• compile network operations reports
• diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and performance issues
• monitor traffic and identify improvements
• respond to technical incidents and coordinate vendor escalations
• oversee equipment and software purchasing, installation, testing, and support
• supervise network operations personnel
• provide IT operations oversight
• conduct quality assurance reviews
• develop network security policies and procedures
• contribute to policy, standards, and budget discussions
• improve network reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
