Chief Development Officer

Job overview

The Chief Development Officer role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is $100,000–$130,000 per year. The CDO works with the CEO to advance St. Joseph the Worker’s mission, vision, and growth through fundraising and donor development.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement fundraising plans
• research prospective individual, foundation, and corporate donors
• cultivate donor relationships
• prepare donation proposals
• maintain donor records
• organize development materials, presentations, and events
• develop recognition and stewardship strategies
• and prepare fundraising reports and budgets. Travel between the organization’s sites is required, and evening or weekend hours are required as needed for events or business activities.

Why this role

Requires demonstrated success managing fundraising goals, strong communication and organizational skills, Microsoft Office and donor-management software proficiency, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and one to three years of fundraising and development experience.
