Certified Medication Technician — Home Care

Job overview

The Certified Medication Technician role is onsite in the Cedar City, UT area, providing care to an assigned client; no travel to agency offices is required. Pay is $23–$25 per hour. First Day Homecare provides home and community-based services and describes a mission to improve the lives of clients through comprehensive care and collaboration. Working under a Registered Nurse or therapist, the technician supports medication management and the client’s comfort and well-being. The role also provides companionship and, when requested or authorized, assistance with daily living activities while communicating changes and documenting care for the client’s care team.

What you'll do

• Provide medication reminders and medication management under clinical direction
• provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation
• assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, meals, and safe ambulation or transfers when requested
• report changes in condition

• follow infection control practices and attend in-service programs.

Why this role

Part-time schedule of 20–28 hours per week with split shifts of two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening; requires completion of a formal certification program and/or skills test and competency evaluation, current CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.
