What you'll do

• Collect on accounts and process claim appeals according to department protocols
• review claim status and follow up with payers
• research unpaid claims
• reprocess and submit accurate claims
• reconcile accounts and manage aging reports
• batch daily claims
• contact insurers about unpaid, denied, or rejected claims
• prepare paper and electronic claims
• handle billing calls and questions
• update insurance carriers in the system
• maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA. Travel to office locations may be requested.
