The Preschool Teacher role is onsite in Redmond, WA. Compensation is $23–$28 per hour. The teacher leads a classroom and supports children’s learning and development at Bright Beams Academy. The role plans and delivers developmentally appropriate instruction, assesses children’s progress, and maintains a safe, nurturing classroom. It contributes to children’s academic, social, and emotional development through teaching, observation, family communication, and classroom leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a classroom in compliance with DCYF licensing standards
• plan and implement curriculum
• supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff
• maintain a safe, clean, nurturing classroom
• observe, document, and assess children’s development
• communicate with families and school leadership
• teach beginning reading and math
• support social and emotional skills
• use varied instructional methods
• assess developmental milestones and communicate with parents and school personnel.
