Veterinary ICU Technician

Job overview

The Veterinary ICU Technician role is onsite in Annapolis, MD; compensation is $21–$40 per hour depending on experience and skill level, with separate listed ranges for technicians and registered veterinary technicians. The role supports the Veterinary Internal Medicine and Oncology department at Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine and Oncology. The role exists to provide critical-care support for veterinary patients through monitoring, treatments, diagnostics, and assistance with procedures in a specialty and emergency referral setting.

What you'll do

• Perform treatments including catheterization, blood collection, fluid and oxygen therapy, and medication administration
• monitor patients and vital signs
• collect and analyze samples
• assist with procedures and imaging
• maintain feeding tubes
• administer transfusions
• provide client updates
• attend requested continuing education and staff meetings.
