Certified Coder — Billing & Coding

Job overview

The Certified Coder role is onsite in Hamilton, OH; compensation is not specified. The position supports Primary Health Solutions’ mission to partner with people on their journey toward wellness. The coder reviews patient documentation and translates services into accurate codes so encounters can be submitted as clean insurance claims. The role also investigates coding edits, rejections, and denials, identifies trends for provider feedback, and supports coding guidance and training.

What you'll do

• Review provider documentation and code services using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
• apply payer-specific modifiers and criteria when applicable
• code incomplete encounters from available EHR documentation
• create and bill encounters
• monitor and resolve coding edits, rejections, and denials
• review patient accounts and correct missing or inaccurate information
• investigate and appeal incorrectly denied claims
• conduct chart audits
• communicate with providers, patients, and payers
• maintain confidentiality and information security.

Why this role
