Special Education Teacher — Full-Time, School-Based

The role coordinates with families, school staff, administrators, and an on-site therapist to support student learning and maintain a safe, productive classroom.

What you'll do

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans
• communicate student progress and challenges to staff and family members
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in scheduled IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite families to participate in students’ educational progress
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• confer with the on-site therapist about disciplinary and behavioral issues
• create a safe, productive classroom environment.
