Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in North Kansas City, MO. Compensation is $27–$30 per hour. The technician supports Cool Creations’ fresh-cut fruit and vegetable production operation, helping keep equipment and facility systems safe and reliable. The technician performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses failures, and repairs production and facility equipment to reduce downtime. Coordination with production, sanitation, quality, and operations supports equipment reliability, food safety, and productivity.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and automated equipment
• repair or replace equipment components
• support food-processing, packaging, conveyor, and refrigeration equipment as applicable
• complete changeovers and repairs
• maintain facility systems
• inspect equipment and document maintenance
• follow safety, OSHA, GMP, food-safety, and LOTO procedures
• collaborate with operations teams.

Why this role

Schedule is 2 p.m.–10 p.m., Monday–Friday, 40–50 hours per week, with overtime as needed. On-call as needed. High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; PLC, welding, HVAC, and refrigeration experience are preferred.
