Job overview
The Cytotechnologist performs microscopic evaluation and interpretation of cytology specimens at the ChristianaCare Newark campus. This full-time role supports the Anatomic Pathology team in providing accurate diagnostic information. This position exists to ensure high-quality diagnostic results for patient care. By participating in fine needle aspiration assessments and maintaining laboratory standards, the cytotechnologist contributes to the overall excellence of the pathology department.
What you'll do
- Examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens.
- Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation.
- Participate in FNA adequacy assessments.
- Document findings and maintain regulatory records.
- Assist with training and mentoring.
