The Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (LVN/RN) role is onsite in Converse, TX, with compensation of $22–$39 per hour. First Step Nursing and Therapy Services provides one-on-one home care for pediatric and young-adult patients in the Converse area. The nurse delivers direct care to an assigned patient, monitors health needs, administers prescribed treatments, and communicates changes to the nursing supervisor or physician. The work also supports families and caregivers through education and consistent in-home care.

What you'll do

• Provide direct nursing care
• assess patients and document observations
• administer prescribed medications, treatments and therapies
• monitor G-tube and respiratory needs
• provide tracheostomy and ventilator care when assigned to a high-acuity case
• take vital signs
• communicate condition changes
• support families and caregivers
• document care in Kantime.
