Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant role is onsite in Wilsonville, OR, with a salary range of $65,000–$75,000 per year. The position supports accounting and financial operations for a company producing space and defense systems for government and commercial program customers. The role exists to maintain reliable accounting records and support accurate, timely financial reporting and close activities. It contributes to compliance, revenue recognition, and cost analysis through reconciliations, journal entries, variance investigation, and coordination with Contracts and Finance.

What you'll do

• Maintain accounting records and perform general accounting activities
• create and post journal entries
• clear bank adjusting entries
• complete monthly bank reconciliations and SOX checklists
• reconcile petty cash and verify credit card transactions
• provide accounts payable backup and reconcile RNI accounts
• support month-end close, reporting, and vendor remittances
• investigate general ledger variances
• assist with cost analysis and POC cost validation
• coordinate contract-value verification and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• maintain job status information in the ERP system.
