Nuclear Medicine Technologist This role exists to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare. This position performs diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring careful, compassionate, and respectful patient care.
What you'll do
- Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
- Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH).
