Principal Full Stack Engineer

Job overview

The Principal Full Stack Engineer role is fully remote, with availability required for at least five to six hours of an 8–5 or 9–6 Mountain Time schedule; it is unavailable in California, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Pay is $90–$120 per hour. The client is a coaching and personal development company whose mission is to help people and entrepreneurs transform their lives and businesses. The engineer will prepare a custom community platform for public launch and progressively take ownership of its architecture and technical operations. The role contributes to a stable, secure, scalable product by assessing the existing codebase, delivering features end to end, and coordinating technical work across internal and external engineering partners.

What you'll do

• Assess and improve code security, scalability, performance, reliability, and data protection
• own features from data modeling through production support
• work across the stack with a backend focus and Vue.js frontend contributions
• review external engineering work
• support knowledge transfer
• manage production readiness, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and release readiness
• test functionality, regression, load, and smoke behavior
• maintain PostgreSQL schemas and related data models
• work with listed integrations
• use AI coding agents responsibly.
