Activities Assistant

Job overview

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Beachwood, Ohio. Pay is $13–$13.25 per hour. The position supports residents at Shaker Gardens Care Community through recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs aligned with resident assessments and care plans. The assistant helps plan and deliver activities that encourage residents’ physical, social, and mental well-being. By coordinating with facility departments and involving residents and families in program planning when possible, the role contributes to resident engagement and a safe, welcoming activity environment.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating resident activities in accordance with assessments, care plans, and supervisor direction.
• Coordinate with facility departments, interview residents or family members for activity information, and involve them in planning when possible.
• Prepare clean and safe activity spaces, provide daily activities such as movies, parties, and games, oversee participation, make routine resident visits, and follow HIPAA requirements and resident treatment refusals.
