What you'll do

• Operate grinding and production machinery to specifications
• sharpen and modify cutting tools
• select, set up, and dress abrasive wheels
• determine clearances, reliefs, and geometry
• read blueprints and job travelers
• inspect parts visually and dimensionally using measuring instruments
• adjust tooling and replace worn or broken tools
• follow safety procedures
• complete production and inspection paperwork
• maintain equipment and housekeeping
• report defects and machine malfunctions.
