Python Developer – AI and CI/CD Platform Engineering

The Python Developer – AI and CI/CD Platform Engineering role is onsite in McLean, VA. Pay is $50–$55 per hour. The role supports enterprise CI/CD and developer tooling for a leading organization in that space. The developer builds and maintains backend automation and platform components that help engineering teams deploy software reliably. The work combines Python development, AWS infrastructure tooling, Jenkins pipelines, troubleshooting, security maintenance, and internal developer support.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software components for enterprise CI/CD platforms
• build Python automation and backend tools
• develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines
• troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and platform incidents
• work with AWS services and cloud automation frameworks
• develop Infrastructure as Code solutions
• support Jenkins environments and Groovy pipelines
• work with Docker, Amazon ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Fargate
• address vulnerabilities, security requirements, compliance upgrades, and platform maintenance
• investigate internal engineering issues and fix bugs
• collaborate with software, platform, and DevOps teams
• document solutions and contribute to developer tooling improvements.
