Product Purchaser

The Product Purchaser role is primarily field-based and onsite at purchasing locations in Shelton, WA. Pay is $22.85–$29.71 per hour. The position coordinates purchasing operations for shellfish or finfish and supports delivery of purchased product to the facility. The purchaser manages cash and purchasing records, verifies weights and payments, and ensures product is handled, stored, and transported appropriately. The role also operates vessels and equipment, transports harvesters, and uses navigation systems to support safe and accurate purchasing operations.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with managers and operators for scow or skiff operations
• reconcile cash balances and coordinate cash needs
• verify weighed amounts against records and payments
• handle, store, and transport purchased product
• operate and secure vessels, vehicles, and equipment
• transport harvesters to and from harvest sites
• report incidents
• use GPS and radar
• maintain confidentiality and awareness of Native American culture.
