The Optometrist role is onsite in Fort Smith, AR, with a stated potential starting base salary range of $125,000–$190,000 per year. The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks is seeking a full-time optometrist to provide care to Veterans. The optometrist will deliver comprehensive eye care, follow-up care, and management of emergency conditions. The role also includes referrals and consultations, prescribing corrective and therapeutic devices, and educating patients, residents, students, and medical staff about ocular conditions and sight conservation.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive eye care and follow-up care
• manage emergency eye conditions
• examine eyes to diagnose and treat abnormalities
• refer and consult with other health care providers
• prescribe lenses, devices, medications, and other listed treatments
• educate patients, residents, students, and medical staff.
