Project Engineer III — Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing

The Project Engineer III role is onsite in Fremont, CA, with stated compensation of $90–$100 per hour. The position supports engineering initiatives across Bulk Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Process Science systems for a pharmaceutical company. The engineer leads and supports equipment and process projects from feasibility through commissioning and handover. The role contributes to compliant, reliable manufacturing by troubleshooting systems, managing project risks and changes, and coordinating technical work across engineering and operational teams.

What you'll do

• Serve as engineering technical lead for BDS, DP, and/or PS systems
• troubleshoot equipment and process issues
• support or lead CAPEX, OPEX, and continuous-improvement projects
• manage equipment-related projects
• conduct risk assessments
• write and review project execution plans
• lead or manage startup and commissioning activities
• review protocols and monitoring
• guide contractors and project teams
• ensure equipment, documentation, and technical support meet compliance, quality, and EHS standards
• coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and IT.
