Community Companion

Job overview

The Community Companion role is an onsite, part-time position in Red Bank, NJ, with a schedule of any three days per week from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Pay is $18–$21 per hour. Kindly Direct Care provides one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. The companion supports participation in community activities while encouraging independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills. Consistent, person-centered support helps the individual work toward service-plan goals while maintaining safety and communicating with the care team.

What you'll do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support
• assist with community outings, errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, and social activities as applicable
• encourage independence and life skills
• provide reminders and routine support as needed
• follow individualized safety instructions
• complete documentation and communicate with the Kindly team.
