Lead Facilities-Grounds Technician

The Lead Facilities-Grounds Technician role is onsite at River Bend Hospital in West Lafayette, IN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and an on-call rotation. Compensation is not specified. Meridian Health Services’ mission is to expand access to whole-person healthcare in underserved communities. The technician leads and performs facility maintenance and grounds work to keep the hospital safe, functional, and well maintained. The role coordinates work orders and staff training while supporting preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and the needs of clinical staff and visitors.

What you'll do

• Schedule and prioritize work orders
• coordinate with the Facilities Director and external contractors
• train maintenance staff
• maintain maintenance and inspection records
• respond to maintenance and custodial requests
• maintain grounds and facility exterior
• perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance
• repair electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, carpentry, and building exterior items
• remain on call as requested.
