Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – Medication-Assisted Treatment

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – Medication-Assisted Treatment role is onsite in Martinsville, VA; compensation is $70,000–$80,000 per year. The counselor supports the Behavioral Health Services department and its Medication-Assisted Treatment program. The counselor provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, and counseling for people receiving MAT services, including individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs. The role coordinates care with an interdisciplinary team and supports recovery-oriented treatment, safety, and continuity of care.

What you'll do

• Conduct clinical assessments and substance-use evaluations
• screen for clinical risks
• develop and update individualized treatment plans
• provide individual, family, and group counseling
• use evidence-informed interventions
• educate individuals on recovery and overdose prevention
• collaborate with medical and support staff
• respond to crises
