AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security and DevOps

Job overview

The AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security and DevOps role is onsite in Washington, DC, and pays $150,000–$175,000 per year. The architect develops cloud solutions supporting enterprise applications, healthcare information systems, public health initiatives, and mission-critical applications. The role designs and implements secure, scalable AWS environments and integrates security, compliance, automation, and CI/CD practices across the software development lifecycle. What you'll do

• Design and implement secure, highly available, scalable AWS architectures
• establish landing zones, account structures, network segmentation, and governance
• develop disaster recovery and resilience solutions
• implement security controls aligned with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP
• integrate compliance checks into provisioning and deployment
• support assessments, vulnerability remediation, ATO activities, and continuous monitoring
• build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• automate configuration and resource management
• implement monitoring and incident procedures
• optimize cloud costs
• maintain technical and security documentation
• mentor cloud engineers and DevOps practitioners.
