What you'll do

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, ambulation, transfers, positioning, and personal comfort
• obtain and record vital signs and weights
• assist physicians or licensed nurses with treatments and procedures as needed
• make beds
• support meals and hydration and record intake and output
• answer call lights
• follow infection prevention practices
• report changes in condition and concerns
• support care planning, rehabilitation transport, and patient discharge
• maintain confidentiality and protect health information. Specimen collection duties apply only where permitted and within scope.
