CMMC Compliance and IT Support Specialist

The CMMC Compliance and IT Support Specialist is a hybrid, part-time role based in Fort Worth, TX, for approximately 20 hours per week. Pay is $30–$40 per hour. Fathom Robotics provides operations, maintenance, training, and applied engineering services for uncrewed maritime systems supporting government and commercial defense programs. The role maintains day-to-day readiness for CMMC Level 2 and supports systems handling Controlled Unclassified Information. It helps the company meet defense contract security requirements while providing practical IT support to engineering, operations, and field staff.

What you'll do

• Implement and maintain NIST SP 800-171 requirements
• maintain the System Security Plan, Plan of Action and Milestones, policies, and procedures
• define the CUI assessment boundary
• conduct self-assessments and track gaps
• prepare assessment evidence and support assessments
• monitor security controls
• review vendor and cloud provider compliance
• deliver security awareness training
• support incident response and reporting
• provide first- and second-level IT support
• configure devices, manage accounts and permissions, and maintain IT asset inventory.
