The Refrigeration Technician C role is onsite in Round Rock, TX, with compensation of $33.75 per hour. The position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, which provides food products to foodservice operators, grocery stores, manufacturers, and exporters. The technician maintains the facility’s industrial ammonia system and performs preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance. This work supports facility operations, safety, and reliable food production through equipment upkeep, documentation, and adherence to established procedures.

What you'll do

• Maintain facility industrial ammonia systems, including exposure to water treatment chemicals with some guidance
• complete preventive, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance with minimal guidance
• use CMMS, Process Safety Management, and wastewater systems and operations
• document completed work and conditions
• operate forklifts and scissor lifts according to production documentation
• follow safety rules and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Why this role

Second shift. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of industrial or utilities experience or an equivalent technical degree, and the ability to obtain an Operator 1 certificate within a year. Industrial ammonia refrigeration experience or certification and wastewater licenses are preferred.
