The role supports the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet’s shipboard equipment and readiness. The technician inspects, assesses, troubleshoots, and supports maintenance of shipboard gas turbine systems and related equipment. The role also trains ship personnel and provides engineering analysis and repair recommendations to help maintain reliable, mission-ready fleet systems.

What you'll do

• Perform gas turbine inspections and vibration assessments
• conduct equipment assessments, inspections, and grooms
• collect and evaluate measurement data
• make adjustments and repairs when possible
• provide onboard maintenance training to ship personnel
• plan and perform vibration condition assessment visits
• analyze complex gas turbine and control-system problems
• recommend corrective actions
• and report findings through required forms and systems.
