What you'll do

• Escort contractors and government officials as required
• maintain accurate security-office logbooks
• report unusual events, safety concerns, and offload stoppages
• sample salt and label samples with date, time, hold, and position
• communicate with ship offload crews about conveyor operations
• monitor conveyor interfaces and equipment
• set up conveyors and dockside hoppers
• check equipment
• clean salt and remove covers after offload
• dismantle conveyor systems and prepare rented power equipment for return. Technician II duties also include overseeing shift offload, helping train new hires, updating procedures, and initiating specified permits.
