The Senior Medicaid Subject Matter Expert — Federal Reporting & Policy role is remote for candidates residing in the continental United States, with occasional travel to Springfield, IL, approximately three to four times per year. Compensation is not specified. The role supports a state Medicaid Enterprise Data Warehouse program. As the business, policy, and federal reporting authority for Medicaid data, the expert helps ensure accurate reporting and alignment with federal and state requirements. The role translates policy into business rules, validates reporting and data, and advises technical, finance, and program teams and government stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Support a State Medicaid EDW
• lead and support CMS-64 reporting, expenditure reporting, FMAP calculations, claiming categories, and financial reconciliations
• support T-MSIS, MARS, PERM, and CMS Core Measures reporting
• interpret policy and translate requirements into business rules and specifications
• partner with finance, program, reporting, and technical teams
• validate report logic, data mapping, business rules, and testing
• present findings and risks to leadership and government stakeholders
• identify data-quality and compliance risks
• mentor analysts, developers, and business teams
• monitor evolving CMS and Medicaid requirements.
