Recovery Support Specialist — Evening/Overnight

The Recovery Support Specialist — Evening/Overnight role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, with evening shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or overnight shifts from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Compensation is $18.00–$19.50 per hour, with an additional stipend for overnight shifts. Sojourner House provides faith-based recovery services for women and their children. This role provides a safe, supportive presence in a residential recovery program and helps residents build coping, household, and independent-living skills. The specialist also supports family activities, documents care and shift updates, and completes overnight checks and assigned medication counts when working overnight.

What you'll do

• Provide a safe, supportive presence for women and children in the residential recovery program
• help residents practice coping, household, and independent-living skills
• respond to concerns and conflicts using a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach
• support childcare and family activities as needed
• complete documentation and communicate updates to the next shift
• prepare apartments by cleaning and stocking supplies. Overnight duties include scheduled bed checks, supporting quiet hours, assigned medication counts, and preparing apartments for arrivals by 6:30 a.m.
