The purpose of this role is to serve as a technical resource and provide scrub assistance for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.

What you'll do

• Serves as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures for a Level 1 Emergency Cardiac Care facility.
• Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with, or will learn to assist with structural heart repair procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, etc.) as well as insertion/removal of cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO, etc.).
• This position requires on-call during the week and weekend in a rotation within 30 minutes from the hospital.
• Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology or Graduate of accredited school of radiology is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RCES) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
