What you'll do

• Perform nursing assessments and preoperative preparation, verify consent and procedure site, review labs and medical clearance, start IVs and administer pre-op medications, educate patients and families, recover patients postoperatively, and discharge patients when stable.
• Follow infection-control and accreditation requirements, participate in quality-improvement studies, advocate for patient safety, maintain sterile-field integrity, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia providers, and document intraoperative events.
