The Teacher Assistant, Early Childhood role is onsite in Rochester, NY. Compensation is $18–$19 per hour. The JCC Wolk Children’s Center provides early-childhood learning through play, social interaction, and hands-on exploration. The assistant supports lead teachers with classroom care and developmentally appropriate activities for children from infancy through school age. The role helps maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and supports children’s development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains.

What you'll do

• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities and daily care routines
• maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom
• observe and document developmental milestones as directed
• supervise children during transitions and activities
• collaborate with teachers and staff
• engage with families
• attend required training and meetings
• comply with OCFS licensing regulations.
