Resident Assistant — Evening Shift, Nelson Gables

The Resident Assistant role is onsite in Alexandria, MN, full time, with 72 hours per pay period from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.; the schedule includes every other weekend and holiday. Pay is $18.50–$23.65 per hour. The role supports Vivie’s nursing department and helps residents live with dignity, joy, and companionship. The position provides hands-on assistance with daily activities and meals, supports residents’ social and wellness engagement, and helps maintain a comfortable living environment. The assistant observes and reports changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff and helps new residents transition into the community.

What you'll do

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility
• support meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting preferences
• encourage social, recreational, and wellness activities
• assist with housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces
• prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks
• report health or emotional changes to nursing staff
• welcome new residents and support their transition.
