The Patient Care Technician (CNA/MA/EMT), Critical Care Unit — Night Shift role is onsite in Glenwood Springs, CO, working three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends. Compensation is $20.00–$28.87 per hour, with a $4.00-per-hour night differential when the stated overnight-hours condition is met. Valley View Hospital’s mission is to provide connected care to Western Colorado communities; this role supports its 13-bed Critical Care Unit, serving patients from neonates to older adults. The technician provides basic patient care under RN/LPN supervision, observes and reports changes, supports care providers, and helps maintain a safe, well-stocked unit. These duties contribute to patient comfort and safety across the unit’s intensive and observational care needs.

What you'll do

• Provide hygiene, nutrition, intake/output and vital-sign monitoring under staff RN/LPN supervision
• report abnormal symptoms or unusual occurrences
• perform specialized skills after training and competency verification
• maintain supplies and equipment
• support patients, visitors and families
• assist care providers and clerical work
• obtain heights and weights
• conduct patient rounds
• and help implement and monitor fall-prevention precautions.
