Configuration Management Specialist

The Configuration Management Specialist is a hybrid role, with two days per week onsite in Lake Zurich, IL and the remaining days remote. The posting states an hourly pay range of $20.00–$22.00. The role supports Astronics Connectivity Systems and Certification’s aircraft connectivity and certification work. The specialist maintains controlled product and engineering data so development and aircraft installation and certification packages are accurate, current, and properly released. The work supports coordination among Production, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management and helps maintain compliance with applicable FAA requirements and the Quality Management System.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain product bills of material in ERP systems
• process part-number requests and engineering change orders in the PLM system
• manage routing and release of development artifacts
• control incoming reference data and revisions
• assist with the Supplemental Type Certificate database and FAA compliance
• transmit data to appropriate recipients
• prepare BOM change worksheets
• lead configuration control board meetings
• maintain the physical and digital library
• participate in the Quality Management System.
