Job overview

The Machine Operator role is onsite in Muncie, IN; pay is $18.38–$23.25 per hour. The operator supports Acero IN Building Components’ manufacturing processes by setting up and operating equipment safely and effectively. The role helps improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost through equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and production-quality checks. Coordination with supervisors, peers, technicians, and engineers supports reliable production and process improvement.

What you'll do

• Perform equipment setup, startup, shutdown, malfunction detection, and inspection
• feed product into designated equipment
• support automation equipment and existing systems
• identify basic mechanical, electrical, and computer-system issues and reset appropriately
• follow maintenance procedures
• coordinate with supervisors, peers, and engineers to resolve production problems
• explain assembly procedures to other workers
• use calipers and quality tools
• maintain equipment cleanliness
• monitor material status and production quality metrics.
