The pastor provides spiritual care to residents, families, and team members through counseling, worship, prayer, individualized spiritual support, and referrals. The role helps advance Genacross’s mission and supports residents’ spiritual needs across diverse backgrounds and faith traditions.

What you'll do

• Provide spiritual care, counseling, prayer, and emotional support
• develop spiritual care relationships, assessments, and individualized care plans
• conduct Sunday and mid-week worship, memorial services, and funerals
• provide ministry of Word and Sacrament and support personal faith traditions
• respond to referrals and support people through illness, crisis, loss, or transition
• visit hospitalized residents and coordinate with home clergy when appropriate
• build relationships with local clergy, congregations, and community partners.

Why this role

Requires a Master of Divinity, at least four units of Clinical Pastoral Education or comparable pastoral experience, ordination and rostered status as a Lutheran pastor, and at least five years of ministry experience.
